iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD
- How can I register for the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD? 
 You can register online via the my iF section of our website. As new participant you must first create a user account.
- Am I eligible to participate? 
 If you are currently enrolled at a university or graduated no more than 2 years ago, you can participate.
- What are the elements of my application? - Section basics: Entry name, selection of category, entry type. 
- Section media: - Add 2 images of your entry. One image in landscape format and one in portrait format. (File types: JPG, PNG, max. width: 4,750 px, max. file size: 5 MB, color mode: RGB) 
- Naming of the image: Entry-ID – name of entry – no. of picture e.g. 1 
- Add your presentation poster as the core piece of your application! 
- Use our example template for creating the poster! (File type: PDF, max. file size: 5 MB) 
- Additional optional media: video link presenting your entry in more detail. 
 
- Section description: Design statement (= short description of your concept with max. 650 characters) 
- Section credits: Enter your name (and that of your teammates) and your university (up to 4 team members possible) and add your student ID. If you are submitting the application as a team, please upload a photo showing all student IDs together. 
 
- Do I have to pay any fees? 
 No, the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD is free of charge.
- Can I submit more than one concept? 
 Yes, you can apply with several different concepts. However, it is not permitted to submit the same concept to different categories.
- Do I need to hand in a prototype or model? 
 No, you only present your idea on the presentation poster. Optionally, you can add a video link to describe your project in more detail.
- Are Chinese characters accepted? 
 No. Please enter all information and descriptions in English, otherwise we will not be able to process your application.
- Can I change my entry data after registering? 
 Yes, you can edit all data of your entry in your my iF account until the registration deadline.
- When does the registration deadline end? 
 The deadline ends on 28 January 2026 at 23:59 CET.
