Designing Cultures Studio
The Designing Cultures Studio is a design and research studio dedicated to exploring new ways to spark and distil insight and address people’s needs through bold, optimistic design. Founded in 2008 by Dr Jesvin Yeo at the Nanyang Technological University, the studio has championed a range of design projects and won over 70 international creative awards through exploring Singapore’s cultural heritage, languages, and everyday objects. www.designingculturesstudio.com

Design Statement
The Designing Cultures Studio explores and challenges how design is applied to societal and cultural issues. On wellbeing, we explore the perception of applied arts as a new environmental interface at the intersection of health, media and applied physics. We also explores design innovation in collaboration with diverse communities, resulting in three cultural products and seven books, including “Vanishing Crafts”, and “Architectural Decorations”.
