Today’s air pollution is one of the world’s largest indirect health risk, killing millions of people every year. Poor air quality prevents people from performing outdoor activities in city environments, some experts suggesting that exercising in high level of pollution can be counter productive and have negative health implications. Athletes who train outdoors are even more impacted by poor air quality, as they breathe in up to 10X as much as air compared to when not being active.
